    Mathematical Phrase into a Verbal Expression

    By now, you are already familiar with algebraic expressions. The expression and x+3 are algebraic expressions. In expressions, is a variable. Variables may be used to represent patterns in expressions. Suppose that in a certain rectangle, the length is 3 inches more than the width. There are possible values for the length and width as shown in the table below.
